2018 sees the Fortieth Anniversary of the founding of the East Africa Study Circle on 21st October 1978. Amongst those attending that meeting were Bill Colley, Ben d’Souza and Bob Kingsley Holmes, to this day amongst our most active and supportive attenders at the Union Jack Club. Also present was our Honorary Life President John Minns who has contributed so much to the Circle and to the philately of East Africa.

Thursday 15th February 2018 our Study Circle had the rare privilege of being invited to display at the Royal Philatelic Society London. during the event over 200 RPSL and EASC members attended and enjoyed the once in a lifetime opportunity of viewing in a single exhibition an exceptional and wide-ranging display of East African Stamps and Postal History.

The display featured twenty-three contributions from fifteen members and guest contributor Patrick Maselis, the President of the Royal Philatelic Society, through whose kindness this event has been made possible.

It was marvelous to see some new faces and and we all enjoyed a warm and friendly welcome at 41 Devonshire Place. Thanks are owed to the sub-committee for a great deal of hard work over the last twelve months.
